Know your site is down before your customers do
Every G7Cloud site is health-checked every minute, with alerts to email, Slack or any webhook the moment something fails — and again when it recovers. Latency history, TLS-expiry warnings and 90 days of resource metrics included.
What's watching
Six things the monitor does for every site
Built into the platform — not a third-party service you have to wire up and pay for separately.
Checks every minute
Every monitored site gets an HTTP health check every 60 seconds. If your site stops responding, the next check catches it within a minute — not whenever a customer emails you.
Email, webhook & Slack alerts
When a check fails, you're alerted where you actually look: email, a Slack channel, or any custom webhook endpoint — and again when the site recovers.
Daily digest
A daily summary email of your sites' checks and incidents, so quiet days are confirmed quiet and noisy days have a paper trail.
Latency history
Every check records response time, so you can see how fast your site answered over time — and spot slow drift before it becomes an outage.
TLS-expiry alerts
We watch certificate expiry dates and warn you ahead of time. On G7Cloud certificates renew automatically — this is the belt to that braces.
Resource metrics, 90 days
CPU and memory metrics for your containers, retained for 90 days. See what a traffic spike actually did to your site, weeks after it happened.
An honest position
No uptime theatre
You've seen the badges: "99.9% uptime guaranteed!". Usually there's no methodology, no measurement window, and a refund clause worth pennies. We don't print a number like that anywhere on this site.
What you get instead is the thing the badge pretends to be: independent checks on your sites, every minute, with the full history in your dashboard and alerts the moment something breaks. Judge us on measurements you can see, not a slogan. Our platform status is public at /status.
- Per-minute checks you can inspect, not a percentage we assert
- Down and recovery alerts within a minute of the event
- A daily digest so silence is confirmed, not assumed
Monitoring plus resilience
Detection is half the story — the platform is also built so there's less to detect:
- Workers keep serving your site even if our management plane goes down — routing is local to the machines running your containers.
- ScaleShield filters bot floods and attack traffic before they can degrade your site.
- Restore-tested backups mean the worst case has a proven way back.
Alerts where your team actually looks
Configure any combination per site. Down alerts and recovery notices both fire, so you always know the current state.
Instant incident emails plus the daily digest. Zero setup — it works from the moment monitoring starts.
Slack
Point an incoming webhook at a channel and incidents appear where your team already lives. Ideal for agencies watching client sites.
Custom webhook
A JSON POST to any endpoint you choose — pipe incidents into PagerDuty, Discord, your own dashboard, or anything with a URL.
Monitoring FAQ
Including why there's no "99.9%" badge on this page.
How often is my site checked?
Every minute. Each monitored site gets an HTTP health check every 60 seconds, and every check records the response time so you also build up latency history.
How do alerts reach me?
Email, Slack (via incoming webhook) or any custom webhook endpoint — your choice, per site. You get an alert when a site goes down and another when it recovers, plus a daily digest email summarising checks and incidents.
Why don't you advertise a 99.9% uptime figure?
Because we won't publish numbers we can't stand behind, and uptime percentages on hosting websites are marketing, not measurement. What we give you instead is the raw material: independent per-minute checks on your own sites, alerts within a minute of a failure, and the full history in your dashboard.
What resource metrics do I get?
CPU and memory metrics for your site's dedicated container, retained for 90 days. Because each site runs in its own container, the numbers you see are your site's real usage — not a shared server's noise.
Do I need to set anything up?
Uptime monitoring with alerts is included from the Starter plan and starts working when your site goes live. Adding Slack or webhook alert destinations takes a minute in the dashboard.
What about TLS certificates?
Certificates are issued and renewed automatically on every G7Cloud site, and the monitor independently tracks expiry dates and warns you in advance — a second pair of eyes on something that should never fail silently.
