Where is your infrastructure?

Our infrastructure is UK-based, and so is the team that builds and runs it. When you open a support ticket, it is answered by the engineers who built the platform — not an outsourced call centre.

What can the AI Website Builder actually build?

Real full-stack applications. Blueprints include an online shop, bookings, CMS/blog, real estate, restaurant, events and fully custom builds — plus static brochure sites. A builder-made shop comes with product variants, stock control, collections, discount codes, order management, image uploads and Stripe checkout using your own Stripe keys, backed by its own Postgres database and an admin panel you log into.

What are AI tokens?

Tokens are the units AI models use to read and write text — one token is roughly three-quarters of a word. Every instruction you give the builder, and everything it writes back (copy, code, edits), consumes tokens. Each plan has a daily allowance, from 10K on Free to 1M on Agency, and it resets every day.

Do I own the code the AI writes?

Yes. You can inspect everything in the built-in code browser, undo any change with per-turn checkpoints, and export the code. There is also visual click-to-edit and brand-kit import from an existing site. This is not a rented builder that holds your site hostage.

Where do builder sites get published?

Accepted Answer

Every plan — including Free — can publish to a free yoursite.sites.g7cloud.com subdomain with SSL. From Starter up you can publish on your own custom domain. Published builder sites have their own publish allowance and do not use up your hosted site slots.

Do you offer free migration?

Accepted Answer

Yes — free assisted migration on paid plans. Our team does the move with you: we copy your site to G7Cloud, you preview the result running on our infrastructure, and DNS only switches when you approve the cutover. It is a hands-on process with a human on our side, not a fire-and-forget import script.

Will my site go down during migration?

Your current site stays live on your existing host throughout. We build and test the copy on G7Cloud first; the DNS switch happens only after you have previewed the migrated site and given the go-ahead.

Can you migrate multiple sites?

Yes. For agencies and larger portfolios we plan the schedule with you and move sites in batches, each with its own preview and approval. The Agency plan (25 hosted sites, team roles, dedicated support) is built for exactly this.

What is ScaleShield?

ScaleShield is our edge security layer: a web application firewall (WAF), bot protection and TLS termination that sit in front of every site on every plan — including Free. Hostile traffic is filtered at the edge, before it ever reaches your container.

Is SSL included?

Yes. Free TLS certificates — including wildcard certificates — are issued and renewed automatically for every site. We also monitor certificate expiry and alert you before anything lapses.

How are sites isolated from each other?

Every site runs in its own dedicated container with its own database — never shared tables, never a shared runtime with a stranger’s site. The dashboard supports two-factor authentication, team roles (owner, admin, developer, editor, viewer) and audit logging.

Do I need to install security plugins?

ScaleShield handles WAF and bot filtering at the edge, so you do not need a plugin for that layer. You are free to run hardening plugins inside WordPress if you want — they will simply see much cleaner traffic than they would elsewhere.

How do backups work?

Scheduled daily, weekly or monthly backups plus manual backups on demand, with incremental support. You can restore a full site, a single file or a single database. Off-site backup targets (S3, R2 or SFTP) are supported if you want a copy outside our platform.

How do I know a backup will actually restore?

Because we test it. Every backup is automatically restore-tested nightly — a real restore into a sandbox environment, not just a checksum. Very few hosts do this; it is the only way to know a backup works before the day you need it.

Do you guarantee 99.9% uptime?

We do not advertise an uptime percentage, because unverifiable nines are marketing, not engineering. What you get instead: per-minute uptime monitoring with email, webhook and Slack alerts sent to you as well as us; database hot-standby replication; and worker-local routing, which means your site keeps serving traffic even if our management plane goes down.

Can I run WordPress and Next.js on the same plan?

Yes. A hosted site slot runs any supported type — there is no separate WordPress pricing or app pricing. A Business plan could run one WooCommerce shop, one WordPress site and one Next.js app side by side, each in its own container.

How does git deployment work?

Accepted Answer

Connect GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket and push to deploy, with live build logs in the dashboard. You also get pull-request preview environments (Pro and Agency), deploy webhooks to Slack, Discord or custom endpoints, environment variables, cron jobs, an in-browser terminal, and rollback by redeploying a previous build.

What databases are available?

Every hosted site gets its own MariaDB database — one per site, never shared. Managed PostgreSQL 15 and Redis 7 instances are available as add-ons from the Business plan up. phpMyAdmin and WP-CLI are included, and Pro adds per-tenant WireGuard private networking.

Yes, on any paid plan: point an A record at 31.132.2.56 and free SSL (including wildcard) is issued automatically. We also offer full DNS hosting with all record types and zone import, plus email hosting with mailboxes, webmail and spam filtering.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, at any time from your dashboard. Billing is handled by Stripe with proration, so you are only ever charged for the part of the billing cycle you actually use on each plan.

Yes — annual billing is 20% off the monthly price. Business, for example, is £182 a year instead of £228. You choose monthly or annual at checkout.
