Why G7Cloud?

For UK small businesses, agencies and developers, G7Cloud is the only platform where AI builds real, database-backed websites and managed UK hosting runs them — in your own container, at a fixed monthly price. Unlike AI builders that draw pictures, and unlike hosts that meter your traffic, you own the code, the data, and the bill.

Six real differences

What's actually different here

Each one is a design decision, not a slogan — and each one links to the page that explains it.

Fixed pricing. Full stop.

No metered visits, no bandwidth overages, no per-seat charges, no surprise usage line-items. Your plan price in GBP is your bill — a traffic spike is good news, not a penalty.

A dedicated container per site

Every site runs in its own isolated container with its own database — never a shared PHP pool, never shared tables. A noisy neighbour cannot slow you down, because you don't have neighbours inside your container.

How the platform is built

Our own platform — not AWS with a markup

We built and operate our own UK infrastructure: the orchestration, the edge, the databases, the mail platform. When something breaks, we fix the actual system — we don't open a ticket with a hyperscaler.

The AI Website Builder is on every plan

Not a paid add-on. Every plan — including Free — includes the AI Website Builder, which ships real database-backed apps: shops with Stripe checkout, bookings, CMS sites. You own the code and can export it.

A UK team that does migrations with you

Built and run by engineers in the UK. Migrations are free and assisted: we do the move with you, you preview the result, and nothing cuts over until you approve it.

Honest engineering, in writing

We publish what's NOT included as prominently as what is. No invented uptime badges, no fake testimonials, no "unlimited" asterisks. If we can't verify a claim from our own code, it doesn't go on this website.

The difference is the billing model

Most hosting comparisons argue about features. The bigger difference is how you're charged. Competitor prices below are as of July 2026.

Metered visits

e.g. WP Engine (from ~$20/mo with annual billing, as of July 2026)

Your plan caps monthly visits; sustained growth pushes you into a higher tier.

The G7Cloud model

No visit metering. Traffic to your site never changes your bill.

Usage-based billing

e.g. Vercel Pro ($20/user/mo + usage, as of July 2026)

A viral day can turn into an invoice you didn't budget for — bandwidth and function usage are billed after the fact.

The G7Cloud model

Fixed GBP price. You know your annual hosting cost to the penny in January.

Rented builder

e.g. Wix Core £16/mo, Shopify Basic £25/mo + transaction fees (as of July 2026)

Your site lives inside their builder. Leave, and you leave the site behind.

The G7Cloud model

The AI Website Builder produces real code you own and can export — and it's included, not extra.

Managed hosting premium

e.g. Kinsta from ~$35/mo (as of July 2026)

Managed WordPress quality, priced per site, in USD, on rented hyperscaler capacity.

The G7Cloud model

Managed hosting from £9/mo on our own UK platform — Business runs 3 sites for £19/mo.

Our unusual sales tactic

We tell you what you're not getting

Hosting marketing is full of claims nobody checks: uptime percentages without methodology, "enterprise-grade" everything, testimonials from people who don't exist. We went the other way. Every claim on this site is backed by the platform's actual code — and the things we don't do are listed too, on the pricing page.

We launched in 2026. We're new, we're small, and we're fine saying so — because the engineering underneath is specific enough to stand on its own.

Things we won't claim

  • — A "99.9% uptime" badge with no measurement behind it
  • — Certifications we haven't earned
  • — A global CDN we don't operate
  • — Customer counts and testimonials we can't evidence
  • — "24/7 support" from a team that sleeps

Things we can prove

The questions people actually ask

Including the awkward ones about being new and small.

Are you just reselling AWS or another cloud?

No. G7Cloud runs on privately-operated UK infrastructure that we built and run ourselves — the container orchestration, the ScaleShield edge, the databases and the mail platform. That's why we can charge fixed GBP prices: we're not passing through a hyperscaler's usage bill.

Will my bill ever change because of traffic?

No. There is no visit metering and no usage billing on any plan. The price of your plan is the price you pay, whatever your traffic does.

Do you offer an uptime SLA?

We don't publish a percentage guarantee, because those figures are usually marketing rather than measurement. What you get instead: independent per-minute monitoring on your own sites with real alerts, a public status page, workers that keep serving your site even if our management plane goes down, and a 30-day money-back guarantee on every paid plan.

Who actually answers support?

The UK-based team that builds and operates the platform. We don't promise 24/7 coverage or 15-minute response times because we can't honestly guarantee them — but the person who replies can actually fix your problem, because they have root on the system.

Isn't a smaller host riskier than a big brand?

Judge the engineering, not the logo. Every backup is restore-tested nightly in a sandbox. The database layer runs hot-standby replication. Workers keep serving sites through control-plane outages. You can push backup copies to your own S3/R2/SFTP storage, and builder projects export their code. Your exit is always open — which is exactly why we work hard to make sure you never want it.

What does "we publish what's not included" mean?

Our pricing page lists the things we don't do — no CDN edge network, no certifications we haven't earned, no uptime percentages — alongside what we do. We'd rather lose a sale than win it on a claim we can't back.

Try the platform, not the pitch

The Free plan gives you the AI Website Builder and a published site with no card and no time limit. If you like how we build, hosting starts at £9/month — fixed.
